About Doctor
Dr. Leena Al-Sheerawi is a Consultant in Orthodontics and a Specialist in Dental Lasers. She is a dedicated professional with more than twenty years of experience in Dentistry. Dr. Al-Sheerawi did her orthodontic training at Guy’s hospital, London where she obtained her Master of Science degree in orthodontics in 2004 from the University of London. In the same year she obtained her MOrth diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Leena pursued her studies by obtaining another Master of Science degree in Dental Lasers from AAchen RWTH University in Germany in 2016. Dr. Al Sheerawi is driven by a passion to teach and has been practicing the latter along with her career. This has been greatly emphasized by her acceptance to take the appointment by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh as an International Dental Advisor in 2016, an ambassador for the International Society of Lasers in Dentistry, being a keynote speaker in many conferences around the world, and being part of the teaching staff for the MOrth course and many others. In 2018, Dr. Al- Sheerawi was also awarded an honorary fellowship from the International College of Dentist, to be the first and only one in Bahrain with this Fellowship. Two years later, in 2020, she was awarded with an honorary Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
